multi instrumentalist and singer maryja symone johnson and percussionist eric thomas joined together at the rhythm sticks festival in london in july 2004 to create new sounds that have been influenced by afro-caribbean origins. they have successfully performed at different concerts and festivals throughout europe. their first single >je suis music< edited by thiaba records is an adaptation of the original disco hit written in 1978 by international artist cerrone. afro-urban concept completely transformed this song by playing soca grooves with new melodies but the dance floor flavor stays alive. on side 1 is the vocal version with some extended piano, drums and percussions improvisations at the end. on side 2 the first track is an instrumental version recorded with the typical 70s sound where the drums and percussion are in evidence. the second track is more an hypnotic london drum n bass version.

dark adaption is rondenions second ep for rush hour and we are pleased to have him back! the freestyle disco cut-up sun glare nicely sets the mood here and is a must have for detroit house lovers. blue canal shows a deeper side of rondenion. a bluesy, mid tempo groove that sticks. the title track gives way to, well, rondenions darker side.. a hypnotic and mean cut that really builds, reminds us theo parrishs rawer tracks. banging!

the second m_recs release confirm the label concept: pure techno sound. in this release max m (m_recs owner) presents the title track >egg< with his repetitive groove characteristic. three big artists make the remixes. the first one by the english chris finke (flux recordings), the second one its too hard by the dutch techno master bas mooy (audio assault) and the third rmx is by the dutch intelligent techno artist charlton ravenberg (labyrinth, audio assault). if this is just the second release, i cant imagine the future of this label. its a concentrate of the best techno for all the techno crowd. big!

the second strike of enter music! coffee please with milk and miss sugar. the first release of miss sugar is called sibiu ? a tribute of the city in romania. with many coffee and some milk met miss sugar her friends aleksandar predragovic (serbia) and the thomsen and produced 2 further tracks. the bonus track on b side is from miss remedy.

the second installment in the split lp series is a dutch affair, but it has everything it needs and more to soon make name far abroad. each side of the record contains a complete work clocking in at about twenty minutes.
side a is >chime ep< by hydrus. the four tracks they contributed stand out because of their meticulous production and their wonderful sense of melody and emotion. this is music in the best electronic tradition, blending hiphop, idm, ambient, funk, drone and badass breaks. hydrus begins this twenty-minute journey with a funky bump and end it in a mess of nervous percussion, splintered to dust.
side b is an altogether positive and quirky piece of work by kettel. like most of his work of the last few years, >yellow baron< is exploding with beautiful melody. in six tracks kettel puts everything to work to make your head bop, to bring a smile to your face and a tear to the corner of your eye. classic stuff, without losing sense of experiment.

mike minds only previous release, >acid machine<, has been tigas most played record since it was made. a full-time turbo employee, he has spent the past few years getting his brain around making techno, and continues to impress us with his output. his debut ep, >resonate<, is something of a departure for our label, and one we are very proud of.
its amazing to have this kind of music coming directly out of turbo hq, it nails a sound that we have always tried to cultivate. minimal without being boring, trippy without being predictable, unafraid of melody, and with just enough analog imperfection and warmth to it.
both of the remixers we chose represent different sounds in techno that have influenced mikes sound.

giorgio gigli is an italian minimal-trance maestro, an incredibly modern renaissance man who is also a trained sommelier.** he is rising in the ranks and catching up in profile to his occasional production partner, donato dozzy. hopefully we will have more of his tracks on turbo soon.

hobo is a fellow canadian best known for his excellent work on m¦nus. rumor has it, he borrowed richies quad-macro template file to finish the final version of this remix... whatever he did, his second effort came up huge, this mix is excellent.

endless flight proudly announce japanese super duo force of natures kza first solo release. this 12 inch is a second single cut from his debut solo album! kza have released 3 album and many singles + remixes as force of nature and they became one of the best artist in the nu disco scene. kza is one of the most popular djs in japan and well known as one of the biggest vinyl collectors. this time he teamed up with kuniyuki aka koss as a production partner and this single was made with many obscure old records. a side, >gothenergy< is his favorite style dark body music. the revenge is working for the remix! b side, both tracks are melancholic cosmic stuff but kza said >capricone< is best favorite track on the album.

kraken are rolling again, with their second release in as many weeks (check out krkn009), and its good to have the denmark based dons back! very little is known about a side artist and la resident jaybird, but im sure plenty of people will be on the hunt for info after this little number drops. absolutely relentless, crushing dubstep music, a refreshingly nasty little number reminiscent in atmosphere to one of krakens earliest releases eye of the demon by wolfman (jsl), this tune is currently tearing up clubs worldwide, with support from 2000f and notably featuring on hatcha & crazy ds kiss fm radio show, you re gunna love this one! legendary kraken artist jsl pops up on the flip with a brand new beat, kept relatively under wraps this one comes out of nowhere and smacks is straight round the chops like kimbo slice! act quickly on this one, it wont last.
